LEARNING TO LOVE YOURSELF IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL.

A Note from Judith
Greetings!

Love is in the air. The power that love plays in our lives is tremendous. When we think of love we often think of relational love. Yet, one of the greatest loves we can nourish is our own Self love.

This month I introduce to you your Romantic Self. You don’t need to be with another person to enjoy the essence of this self. There are so many possibilities all around you and within you to love and to cherish. On the exterior, beauty is everywhere you choose to see it, in nature, your pets, friends, family, movies and books. On the interior, there is the possibility of loving and honoring the numerous selves living within including your own body.

What would it mean to direct the focus of this self on your life as a whole? How would it be to bring an open heartedness and intimacy to all aspects of your life? What would it mean to you to be your own Valentine?

May the month ahead bring you time to connect and enjoy the essence of you.

Blessings,

Judith

Meet Your Romantic Self
The Romantic iis the self that can meet the world with open arms and heart. This self can channel its love globally in relationship to concerns of the earth, oceans, plants, animals, people, places and things. It treasures a beautiful sunset, the smell of a rose, warmth of a fireplace, the pleasure of intimacy, an inspiring conversation, or the sound of music.

The Romantic has its own, deeply unique and personal way of being in relationship to family, pets, friends and community. This self makes each moment count in a way that is memorable. It can bring excitement, passion and presence to anything it puts its attention to including one’s self.

The Romantic can infuse intimacy into anything it sets its focus on. By looking inward this self brings to us a greater sense of connection and presence. The ordinary tasks of our life can be infused by the rose colored lens of this self.

OVER-IDENTIFIED WITH THE ROMANTIC:
If you are over identified with your Romantic Self you can lose your sense of appropriate boundaries becoming intrusive with those closest to you. You can also become overindulgent caring for your own personal needs at this risk alienating others.
THE DISOWNED/REPRESSED ROMANTIC:
When you have disowned or repressed your Romantic you reduce your capacity to create or maintain deeper relationships with yourself and others. By staying on the surface you lose the capacity to connect to the subtle essence of love for people, places and things.
THE INTEGRATED ROMANTIC:
With an integrated Romantic you can create a fluid balance between love of self and others. You are able to fully appreciate and enjoy the quality of love and attention that this juicy self can bring to any and all areas of your life.

POSSIBLE OPPOSITES OF THE ROMANTIC:
The Shadow King, The Ordinary Self, The Loner, The Thinker

DEEPENING YOUR DIALOGUE WITH YOUR ROMANTIC:
What is your relationship with your ROMANTIC?
Is it a primary self or is it repressed or disowned in your life?
What is it trying communicate with you?
