A Note from Judith
Greetings!

How exciting it is that the summer solstice is about to shine the longest day of the year into each of our lives. Along with its passing comes the realization that half the year has nearly gone by. Just like the winter solstice in December, this is a great time of year for renewal and experiencing the life around you from a fresh perspective.

Perhaps it is also the time to let your Adventurer Self come out to play with you, keeping in mind that you don't need to leave home to do so. In fact, doing something you have never done before can happen in your very own backyard.

As you familiarize yourself with the Adventurer in this month's letter, please note the format change in the explanation of this Self. In putting these selves down onto paper for the upcoming card deck I am creating, I continue to create a new format to best explain the full spectrum of our many selves. It is my hope that you are enjoying the opportunity to intimately connect with the selves I have been presenting to you. I am always open to your feedback.

Wishing you great adventures inside and out as we transition into summer.

Blessings,

Judith

Exploring your Adventurer
The Adventurer is best known for its spirit of curiosity, exploration and discovery. This self can find adventure in anything from climbing the highest mountain to immersing itself into the latest novel. With a spirit of embracing the unknown, this self inspires us to break away from our ordinary daily schedules and travel to exciting and unexplored vistas.

The Adventurer is motivated by an entrepreneurial sense of challenge and opportunity. Gifted with the ability to see past our fears and limitations, this self actually thrives on new opportunities. This energized self is one who believes in living life to the fullest.

The Adventurer stays in tune and alert to the possibilities of discovery in work as well as play. This exploration can range from inventing something new to finding a different way of doing something. With the belly as its center, the Adventurer often thrives on physical sensations and new experiences.

IDENTIFYING A DOMINANT ADVENTURER:
If you are over identified with your Adventurer, you may find that you are continuously feeding the need to create the adrenaline rush that each new adventure brings. Your strong appetite for anything new and different may never be completely satisfied whether you are traveling to new places or tasting new foods.
RECOGNIZING AN UNTAPPED ADVENTURER:
When your Adventurer has not been tapped into you may find yourself losing the desire for exploration and creating anything new. You may experience needing everything to remain status quo in order to maintain a sense of safety and security.
MAINTAINING BALANCE WITH THE ADVENTURER:
To experience and maintain a healthy connection with this self you need to acknowledge where it falls on the spectrum between dominant and untapped. A balanced relationship with your Adventurer supports the ability to explore the vast possibilities of the world around you while maintaining the security of a solid foundation.

POSSIBLE OPPOSITES TO EXPLORE:
Every dominant self has a corresponding opposite that holds possible clues to its current status. Potential opposites for this self can show up in selves such as the Responsible, The Vulnerable Child or The Being (previously the Meditator).

DIALOGING WITH YOUR ADVENTURER:
- Where does your Adventurer fall on the spectrum from dominant to untapped?
- What are the qualities that this self carries for you?
- What is your earliest memory of your Adventurer?
- What does this self want to communicate by asking for your attention at this time?
- If your Adventurer is dominant, who is the opposite self that needs expression?
