We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

A Note from Judith

This month's connecting presence is being resent to you as it came to light that we had made an Innocent mistake - quite literally! In the version of the Connecting Presence you got early this morning you received two versions of an untapped Innocent and not a dominant version. For those of you who have a dominant Innocent I am sure you picked this up much quicker than others . Thanks to all of you who brought this to my attention! You will find it corrected below. They say all happens for a reason! Very Interesting!

Greetings!

The transition out of winter and into spring brings almost daily weather changes here in Boulder. As if choreographed with the seasons I am finally bringing two of my projects to fruition. A friend of mine recently shared with me that it sounds like I am giving birth to twins! The Selves Expression Cards as well as my book are in the final editing stages. It seems quite appropriate to have this happening during this season

While working this past week in a neighborhood coffee house, I had to laugh when over-hearing a gentleman at the table behind me. He was sharing with his group, "That must be the Bookkeeper in me." And I thought, "Yes, everyone does in fact have so many special and unique selves living inside of him or her."

In the month ahead, what would it mean to bring out the essence of spring in your life? What if you were to discover the qualities of your Innocent Self? The Innocent Self can inspire a fresh perspective on your personal life, your work, and your relationships.

I encourage you to explore your Innocent Self and embrace the unfiltered lens it can bring to your life.

Wishing you balance and light in the season ahead.

Blessings,

Judith

Exploring Your Innocent

The Innocent is pure and untainted from the world around it. This Self is often soulful in nature offering us a lens that is uncomplicated. It brings a perspective that is both fresh and simple.

The Innocent tends to be unaffected by the activities of the world around it. It reflects our childlike nature. Innately truthful, it speaks with frankness and candor.

The Innocent expresses a light and youthful energy. This Spirit Centered Self is pure and uncluttered from the events of the past or expectations of the future. Its untainted essence brings a quality of possibility and hope.

What are the Expressions of Your Innocent?

IDENTIFYING A DOMINANT INNOCENT: If you are over identified with your Innocent, you can lose your capacity to filter out the realities of life, becoming naïve or gullible. Your childlike responses to the world around you can keep you from responding with appropriate maturity.

RECOGNIZING AN UNTAPPED INNOCENT: When your Innocent has been disowned or repressed you begin to lose the purity and freshness of the moment. You may become fixated on the responsibilities of your life losing touch with your essential nature.

EXPLORING AND HONORING POSSIBLE OPPOSITES OF THE INNOCENT:
Whether your Innocent is dominant or untapped it has a corresponding opposite Self that brings the potential for balance. Where is your Innocent on the spectrum from dominant to untapped? If your Innocent is dominant who is the opposite Self that is being repressed or disowned? If your Innocent is repressed or disowned who is the opposite Self that is dominant?

Potential opposites of this Self can be found in the centers of the Head, Heart and Belly, such as the Gatekeeper, the Pleasure Seeker or the Entrepreneur.

CREATING BALANCE WITH THE INNOCENT AND ITS OPPOSITE:
Making a healthy connection with the Innocent and it's opposite Self can support you to fully encompass the qualities their distinct characteristics bring. With an integrated Innocent what you can experience is the ability to offer a fresh perspective, untainted by past hurts and beliefs. This balance brings you the capacity to participate with maturity while still having an open and uncomplicated approach to life. Creating balance with your Innocent and its opposite supports you in making more conscious choices.

DEEPENING THE DIALOGUE WITH YOUR INNOCENT:
- What is the earliest memory you have of your Innocent?
- How is your Innocent expressing itself by showing up at this time?
- Can you define the unique qualities that your Innocent expresses?
