 Dear Mia,

As I greet my sixth spring season since moving to Colorado it still fills me with awe as I watch the trees, bushes, and flowers rebirth with such vibrant colors and smells.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to see the world transform in front of me on a daily basis.  Although personally quite fond of winter, I find myself excited by the chance to honor spring.  This spring is extra special  as I will be experiencing the transition into our new home in just a few days.

Just as spring brings warmth and light into our world, it allows us the chance to release the old as we allow in the new. Sometimes, this change can be a difficult process.  Change can come unexpectedly, such as the arrival of a storm or other phenomenon of nature.  Even technology is evolving at such a speed, we constantly need to adapt to new innovations or ideas.  Whatever transformation is ahead of us, our world seems to be in a constant state of change.

When situations arise in the months ahead, your Chameleon can be a wonderful ally.  The Chameleon is that part of you that specializes in change.  This relationship allows transformation to happen, insuring smoother transitions.

Wishing you much joy in your life as late springs transitions into early summer.

Blessings,

Judith

Meet the Chameleon

The Chameleon
is also known as the shape shifter.   It is best known for its capacity to adapt to new situations involving people, places and things.  Comfortable with change, this Self easily adjusts to new experiences.

The Chameleon has the ability to transition from one thing to another without much effort or energy.  Subtle in nature, it transitions with confidence and ease.  This Self has the capacity to move with life's ebbs and flows.

The Chameleon brings a quality of stability through its various coping techniques.  This Spirit Centered Self creates fluidity as it conforms and blends with the requirements of the moment.  With its own flexible style this Self transforms with ingenuity and grace.

WHAT ARE THE EXPRESSIONS OF YOUR CHAMELEON?

IDENTIFYING A PRIMARY/DOMINANT CHAMELEON:
If you are over-identified with your Chameleon, you can become so addicted to change that you lose the sense of continuity and consistency in your life.  Over time the need to constantly adapt and adjust to change can lead you to a lack of inner stability and grounding.

RECOGNIZING AN UNTAPPED CHAMELEON:
When you have disowned or repressed your Chameleon you can lose the capacity to adapt to new situations.   In your fear or resistance to change you may begin to lose your elasticity and resilience.

EXPLORING POSSIBLE OPPOSITES OF THE CHAMELEON:
Whether your Chameleon is dominant or untapped it has a corresponding opposite Self that brings the potential for balance. Where is your Chameleon on the spectrum from dominant to untapped? If your Chameleon is dominant who is the opposite Self that is being repressed or disowned?  If your Chameleon is repressed or disowned who is the opposite Self that is dominant?

Potential opposites for this Self from the other centers of the Head, Heart and Belly can be seen in Selves such as the Perfectionist, the Loner and the Prince/Princess.

CREATING BALANCE WITH THE CHAMELEON AND ITS OPPOSITE:
Making a healthy connection with the Chameleon and it's opposite Self can support you to integrate the qualities and characteristics of each Self. With an integrated Chameleon you can adapt and change to circumstances of your own choosing as opposed to the requirements of others.  This balance brings a sense of resilience and flow that is built upon a solid core foundation. Becoming aware of your Chameleon and its opposite supports you in making more conscious choices.

DEEPENING YOUR DIALOGUE WITH YOUR CHAMELEON:
 - What is the earliest memory you have of your Chameleon?
 - How is your Chameleon expressing itself by showing up at this time?
 - Can you define the unique qualities that your Chameleon expresses?
